Happy New Year.
A1 North Pit: 2-3 Corn Buntings in stubble fields. Good numbers of other finches and buntings.
Hayling Pit: Cetti's Warbler heard.
Island Pit: redhead Smew, Snipe, c.50 Fieldfare.
Washout Pit: 2 Woodcocks.

A1 Pits: Egyptian Goose flew north mid morning, Buzzard over, c.120 Linnets, 4 Redpolls, 5+ Corn Buntings.
Cloudy Pit: Chiffchaff at south end of pit.
Vistor Centre: Kingfisher landed briefly in bush by pond; 5+ Siskins low over.
Little Paxton village: 2 WAXWINGS around village early afternoon. Seen at berry trees in Hall Close and along Gordon Road and also briefly in tree at Chestnut Walk.
