Visitor Centre: 2 Lesser Redpolls still visiting niger feeder, but no sign of Mealy Redpoll.

Island Pit: drake Smew.

Sailing Lake: c.20 Siskins in Alder trees around lake.

Boughton Lodge Farm: 10 Siskins in wood at north end of farm. Also Buzzard over and 75 Fieldfare in Oak tree.

Heronry Pits: 5 Goosander (3 drakes) on Heronry North and a Pochard x Tufted Duck hybrid on Heronry South. Marsh Tit calling at Wray House Garden.

Island Pit: female Goosander.

Cloudy Pit: Kingfisher along river; 3 Redpolls flew NE.

Island Pit: 3 Goosander (1 drake), Water Rail calling. Plenty of Goldeneye busy displaying.

Sailing Lake: Oystercatcher still around on small island. A few Siskins around in Alders.

Displaying Goldeneye are always entertaining; these birds were busy displaying on Island Pit.

Island Pit: Short-eared Owl and Barn Owl on east side of pit during morning. Also redhead Smew.

Sailing Lake: Oystercatcher on small island.

A1 North Pit: 2 drake Red-crested Pochards still.

Farm Pit: female Red-crested Pochard.

A1 North Pit: adult female Scaup still, plus 3 Red-crested Pochards (2 drakes), adult Mediterranean Gull asleep on the ice and an adult Yellow-legged Gull briefly. Also 16 Golden Plover south and 3 Corn Buntings again around nearby stubble fields.

Farm Pit: 2 redhead Smew. Buzzard and Siskin around the farm fields.

Ouse Valley Way: up to 10 Goosander on the river today.

Sailing Lake: Bittern in reeds at NW end of lake, plus Green Sandpiper.

Washout Pit: Bittern showing fairly well in reeds on north bank early afternoon, also 3 Smew (1 drake)

A1 North Pit: female Scaup again, plus 2 drake Red-crested Pochards. 400+ Linnets and 4 Corn Buntings in nearby stubble/weedy fields.

Washout Pit: Woodcock.

Sailing Lake: drake and redhead Smew this morning. (per Rare Bird Alert)

A1 Pits: an impressive c.450 Linnets around stubble fields west of A1 South Pit; Snipe flushed by A1 North Pit, but no sign of the female Scaup in bad weather!

Island Pit: drake and redhead Smew.

Sailing Lake: c.20 Lesser Redpolls and 10 Siskins in Alder trees at north end of pit, although very mobile.

A1 North Pit: Female Scaup and drake Red-crested Pochard this morning.

A1 Pits: Little Egret over A1 North Pit at dusk; 3 Redpolls and 7 Corn Buntings over.

Haul Road: Marsh Tit in Rory's Wood, plus Black Squirrel.

Hayling Pit: 2 Water Rails in ditch between Hayling Pit and South field.

Ouse Valley Way walk: 3 drake Goosanders flying upriver opposite Great Meadow and Water Rail from the river viewpoint.

Island Pit: 3 Smew (1 drake) and redhead Goosander on south end of pit; also Redpoll over.

Sailing Lake: Snipe & 1-2 Chiffchaffs (including a possible tristis - see photo's below) on large island, seen by working party whilst clearing vegetation from the islands.

Washout Pit: 2 Water Rails calling.
