Heronry North: 2 RAVENS over NW end of pit at c.10:05, before heading off strongly NW calling.

Boughton Lodge Farm: Spotted Flycatcher with Tit and Warbler flock nr kissing gate at south end of cowfields.

Island Pit: Red Kite over in afternoon, also Green Sandpiper.

Diddington Pit: juvenile RED-BACKED SHRIKE on far west side of pit along hedgerow just SE of Diddington village and viewable from the public footpath. Also juvenile Whinchat, Lesser Whitethroat and several Common Whitethroats in the same hedgerow.

Boughton Lodge Farm: female-type Mandarin flew south along brook mid morning and a Small Heath butterfly was around the southern end of the cowfields.

Island Pit: Green Sandpiper feeding on mud in SW corner, Nightingale calling continuously and showing briefly at southern shore of pit, plus Lesser Whitethroat, Garden Warbler, Reed Warbler Chiffchaff and Willow Warblers with a few roaming Tit flocks. Also Painted Lady and Brown Argos at southern end of Pit.
