Heron Trail: 2 singing Turtle Doves (1 by Fisherman's car park; 1 in dead trees nr education centre); 4 Nightingales, Hobby. The pair of Common Terns nesting on the new tern raft now have two chicks (viewable from the Kingfisher hide).
Northern Pits: 4th summer Yellow-legged Gull, 3 Red-crested Pochards still, 3 Egyptian Geese, Red Kite, Hobby, 3 Little Ringed Plovers, Yellow Wagtail and Grey Wagtail over.
Island Pit: Green Sandpiper (the first of autumn!), also Painted Lady.
Washout Pit: Cetti's Warbler singing.
