Northern Pits: GREAT WHITE EGRET again on Pumphouse early afternoon; also female Merlin, 2 immature Peregrines, 1-2 Water Pipits, 4 Pintail (2 drakes), (presumed) drake American x Eurasian Wigeon still, Green Sandpiper, 12 Golden Plover over, Snipe, Woodcock, Kingfisher and a Chiffchaff.

Northern Pits: 6 redhead RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS dropped on to Diddington Pit late morning for 5 mins only, then flew south. Also today: single Jack Snipe, Green Sandpiper, 8 Pintail (2 drakes), pair of Egyptian Geese, 2 Little Egrets and a Kingfisher. The presumed drake American x Eurasian Wigeon also still present this morning (photo's on the CBC photo blog http://cambsbirdclub.blogspot.co.uk/2014/11/wigeon-hybrid.html).
